Ros Ford

Ros is an artist based in Bristol. In 2008 she received and MA in multi-disciplinary print at the University of the West of England, receiving The Rebecca Smith Fine Art Prize.

‘Drawing is at the heart of my work, including my local landscape, journeys overseas, gardens and still life. Drawing on for me location fixes image and atmosphere in my memory.

When working on outside, often the unexpected becomes the focus of the drawing, this inspires and informs my practice. ’

I taught drawing at Somerset College of Art and Technology, am a qualified art and design secondary school teacher and have led workshops for adults and children in Britain and overseas.
