James Alexander was thrown out of Art College for painting landscapes in a Life class. Despite (or because of) this, he has spent the last 27 years as an artist and illustrator, and his work has been seen in all kinds of places, from the Guinness website to the toilet door of his primary school.
His approach is all embracing, and much influenced by the attitude of Renaissance journeyman artists who learnt through practical experience and tackled everything that came their way.
He has, as you would expect, exhibited widely, been published and generally appeared all over the place in print, online, TV and even on your cereal packet, but is generally a bit embarrassed about talking about it.
He regards making pictures as the nearest thing to magic, and is never happier than when he has a room full of fellow magicians that he can share the tricks of the trade with.
